This thiruvizha song will be one of the highlights of '100% Kaadhal 28 Aug 2018

The air-conditioned floor at AVM Studios was abuzz — the crew of 100% Kaadhal was shooting a special song — and it was the last day of the schedule. (They have been shooting for more than 50 days). A temple set was erected by art director Thota Tharani showcasing a festival in a village. The hall was decorated with flowers, flashy lights and other props. Seen on the spot were the movie's lead pair GV Prakash Kumar and Shalini Pandey, director Chandramouli, lensman Ganesh, choreographer Shekhar, editor Mu Kasi Viswanathan, around 50 junior artistes, and 20 male and female dancers among others. Shekhar was giving instructions to his assistant Madhu, as the latter taught dance movements to the junior artistes and dancers.

Though the film is a remake of the Tollywood flick, 100% Love, a romcom, Chandramouli asserts that the movie has come out like an original Tamil film. He says, "Director Sukumar, who helmed the original version, is the producer for this project. He is such a perfectionist that he can find out flaws easily. Though we haven't made a lot of changes in the script, he said that we have done a few things which he couldn't do it for the Telugu version. I was happy to get appreciation from him. Nasser sir is playing the character enacted by Vijayakumar sir and Thambi Ramaiah sir's character has come out in a hilarious way."

It is a young film on the lines of Kushi — we have managed to capture the same kind of energy that was there in the Telugu version to ours. I think the chemistry between Shalini and I has also come out well. The characterisations of the leads haven't changed, but we have brought out a little change in the tone of our performance. The timing has also been tweaked to Tamil sensibility. Savari Muthu, who worked in Irumbu Thirai, has been roped in for writing. The project has a big star cast and the thiruvizha song will be one of the highlights of the movie. The Telugu version, which released seven years ago, was a blockbuster there, and I'm expecting a similar result here, too.
